Blog, Book, and Baby (chat one)

Me:  This is my 31st blog post!

Myself: Really? Have you counted them?

Me:  Yes, I have, as matter of fact.

Myself:  Since we are in the process of writing both blog and book, how would you say one differs from the other?

Me: Good question.  Ideally, a blog post should have a lot of white space around short paragraphs. That was a challenge for wordy, ol’ me.

Myself:  True. But we have worked on that, and more white space is showing these days–just as it is doing right now. And I have incorporated that principle into my book writing.

Me: Any other differences?

Myself: In the history of communication, a blog is relatively new.  So, its shorter sentence structure and more colloquial usage appeals to younger readers. Not  only in blog posts, these trends can be seen in books, too. Learning to register a web site and a place in WordPress took more technical knowledge than I had. I’m so thankful for Jeffery, my guru, faithfully helping me each week.

Me:  Oops! You just lost your white space!

Myself:  That’s so easy to do when you have a lot to say on one topic. So, to get back on topic, technical knowledge is very helpful in understanding how to maneuver through  self publication, too.

Me:  Oh? Tell me more.

Myself: I will—-next week.      😉

  1. Interesting…. Where’s the baby?

    As I read this piece, I wonderdered…..

I see the “me” and”myself”. Does that mean the “I” gets neglected?

Or is the “Baby” thrown out with the bathwater?
